Itty Bitty Kitty Child size fingerless gloves or hand warmers are one of  my newest designs for Fall 2015.  I decided I needed to relive the past with a new addition.  I started my designing career with children’s wear for unique boutiques in the Toronto area and a few other places in Canada.  Here is one of the first editions to my Girl Power series now available on my Etsy store http://www.valeriebaberdesigns.etsy.com or visit me at the St. Albert Farmers Market the Saturday’s in September and a couple in October, see more on my website at http://www.vbaberdesigns.com

The Itty Bitty Kitty hand warmer is made with beautiful yarns from Sweetgeorgia Yarns, http://www.sweetgeorgiayarns.com  I chose to use the beautiful yarn for my children designs as I find merino wool the most allergy friendly wool, luxurious and soft, warm, washes well and great for wearing.  The beautiful colours of this wonderful yarn are the other reason I chose them to design with.  I can’t get enough of this yarn.

There are more to come with the Flower Child hand warmer, Puppy Love hand warmer, Sweet Heart hand warmer to name a few.  The Itty Bitty Kitty book was one of my daughters favourite books growing up and to date.  She has now ventured into adulthood which  is one of the reasons why this journey back in time designing and making children’s wear has been so enjoyable.  I started my original business just after my first child was born and continued for years until I took a break to go to Interior Decorating and Interior Design school.  As you see now I have ventured to a new direction with Woman’s accessories etc.

My Children were both my design models and inspiration from the start and continue to be two of the most important people in my life. Love ya Kids!!!!
