Weaving a space warped scarf this time with stripes of gray. I enjoyed weaving my first space warped scarf I chatted about in previous blog and wanted to try another only a bit longer and with a darker warp and lighter weft.
For this scarf I used sock weight yarn in a beautiful natural colour on the weft and a medium gray on the warp. On a whim I decided to add some stripes. At the bottom. I did the stripes double stranded and left the ends to weave in later at the back to avoid overlap of gray.
The spaced warp style of weaving gives a beautiful soft texture to the design and I love how the gray shows under the lighter natural colour. I am planning on making a table runner with this pattern soon. Try it yourself. It is truly enjoyable to weave.
