Gothic Cathedral Scarf with a Architectural Rose Window design from the ART-chitecture Collection, merino wool scarf. This scarf shows the Rose Window from the outside of beautiful Gothic Architectural Buildings and Cathedrals of the past. Made with hand painted merino wool in a beautiful gray or ivory stone coloured yarns. Finished off with beautiful metal buttons with a quatrefoil on the design like the quatrefoils on the stone tracery of the stained glass rose window shown in the photos.

The inspiration for this design is from beautiful photo’s a customer sent me (thanks Marie) of the Cathedral de l’Assomption in Clermont Ferrand shown below. This beautiful cathedral has various stained glass windows and pointed arches. Quatrefoils surround the centre flower of the Rose Stained Glass window I pulled from another window on this beautiful cathedral. The quatrefoil pattern is often seen on many buildings in this era.

When taking Interior Design in school I fell in love with architecture of the past and the Elaborate Gothic Architecture on Cathedrals is my favourite. I am astonished at the amazing creativity that each beautiful building was decorated in. The extremely talented artist, architects, masonry experts and all the people involved to create, make and design these extraordinary historical buildings amazes me. I am so inspired by all the different features, textures, styles, colours etc. that are prominent in these intricate designs throughout each unique building. The inspiration is never ending!
